Improv for Education - An Evening of Fun, Friends, & Fundraising
You are cordially invited to join students of Nooksack, Sehome and Bellingham Schools; actors from the Upfront Theater; and the Board of CIS Whatcom County at our second annual "Improv for Education" Dinner and Auction Event!
The evening will be a unique opportunity to wine, dine and entertained at the Bellingham Country Club; with a chance to learn about and contribute to the work of CIS and it's partners in Whatcom County. We'll start the night with a social cocktail hour with silent auction; then dinner at 7:30 along with live auction. After you enjoy the Best in the NorthWest Dessert Dash we will begin the highlight of the evening, a presentation of improvisational skills performed by students and mainstage players from the Upfront Theater. The students have been studying under the tutelage of members of the Upfront Theater since November, and this production is their chance to showcase what they have learned. Last year's group coined the "Facebook This!" Players put on a fantastic show. We are eagerly awaiting what this year's improv acting troop will call themselves.
During the social hour you'll have a chance to bid (silent auction) on a wide variety of gift packages, getaways and evenings out, generously donated from our sponsors and friends of our agency. Items will be available for preview starting in mid January on this site.
We welcome everyone in the community, but be sure to purchase your tickets soon as the seats are limited and will fill up quickly.
